BCIC Expands Science Fairs to Students Throughout B.C.

BCIC and the Science Fair Foundation of British Columbia (SFF BC) have partnered to enhance and deliver The Science Fair Program across B.C.
$9 Million for Solutions in Natural Resources, Applied Sciences and Engineering
Post-secondary institutions will receive up to $9 million in the next three years for projects providing social, economic and environmental solutions for B.C. Projects will be supported in the areas of natural resources, the applied sciences, and engineering.

BCIC Leads Mission to Vermont to Study Anaerobic Digesters

BCIC sponsored a Vermont educational mission to provide a valuable learning experience for power producers about the production of biomethane from anaerobic digestion. Anaerobic digestion is a sustainable solution turning organic waste such as manure into renewable natural gas.

On October 24, 2008, BCIC and NSERC-Pacific launched Science Scrum, a multimedia science journalism competition challenging students to communicate science and technology in exciting and creative ways.
