| British Columbia Industrial Innovation Scholarship (BC-IIS) |
Natural sciences, engineering and health research graduate students are invited to apply for this scholarship. A key objective is to provide graduate students with the opportunity to receive exposure to the technology commercialization process including business planning, technology integration, product development and market strategy. An important deliverable will be to collaborate with an MBA student to develop a business plan and pitch the business opportunity to a panel of investors and industry executives. An intended outcome is to encourage top students to pursue their graduate degrees in British Columbia and ultimately seek careers in technology commercialization in the province.
The British Columbia Industrial Innovation Scholarship opportunities will be $20,000 annually for Masters students for a maximum period of two years or $25,000 annually for PhD students for a maximum of three years. The 2007 deadline for applications is July 6, 2007.
