| The purpose of the Aquaculture and Environment Research Fund (Aqua E-Fund) Program is to support research on the environmental aspects of finfish and shellfish aquaculture. Such research will enable adoption of sustainable management and operational practices as well as address questions of public interest and policy. |
The Aqua E-Fund Program is delivered by the Science Council of BC through the British Columbia Aquaculture Research and Development Committee (BCARDC).
The Aqua E-Fund Program is structured as a competition utilizing an RFP process. RFPs are based on well-defined research priorities that BCARDC has determined to support. Proponents are invited to submit a full proposal responding to any of the current well-defined RFPs.
