Celebrate Christmas @ SCBC |

our Philosophy of Ministry

our Mission

In accordance with the Great Commands of Matthew 22:37-39 and the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20, Santa Clarita Baptist Church exists to Love God, Love Others, and Make Disciples.

our Vision

The vision of SCBC is clearly expressed in Colossians 1:28– “We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ” as we desire to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ, establish believers in the faith, equip the church for the work of service, and evangelize the lost.

Our Distinctives

EXALT God

Viewing Scripture highly in its authority and sufficiency (Psalm 19:7-11; Psalm 119; John 17:17; 2 Tim 3:16-17; 1 Pet 1:3)

Honoring Christ in our worship through expository preaching and theologically-rich music (Psalm 145:1-3; Isa 25:1; 2 Cor 3:18; Phil 2:9-11; Col 1:15-20)

ESTABLISH believers in the faith

Striving for holiness (Phil 2:12-13; Titus 2:12; 1 Pet 1:15-16; 2:9-10; 1 John 1:7)
Conforming into Christlikeness (2 Cor 3:18; Rom 8:29; Col 3:12-17; Eph 4:1-3)
Growing in maturity (Rom 12:1-2; Eph 4:12-16; Col 1:28; 2:6-7)
Preserving unity (Eph 4:3; Phil 2:1-4)
Practicing love (Matt 22:37-39; 1 John 4:7-12)

EQUIP the saints for the work of service

Shepherding to make disciples and disciple makers (Eph 4:11-12; 1 Pet 5:1-4)
Training to raise up servants and leaders (1 Tim 3:1-13; 2 Tim 2:2; Titus 1:5-9)
Encouraging to serve by using spiritual giftedness for the good of others and the glory of God (Rom 12:6-8; 1 Cor 12:12-27; 1 Pet 4:10-11)
